When and how did your business get started?

After working for a chocolatier in western Pennsylvania for 12 years, I decided it was time to venture out on my own.

Why did you decide to open your business in Bethlehem?

While scouting locations, my brother, a Bethlehem resident at the time, encouraged me to look at Bethlehem. My family had made many trips to Bethlehem for family visits and for Musikfest (when it was still a small digestible family festival). I walked the sidewalks and talked with the other merchants on Bethlehem's Southside and felt very comfortable. That was 9 years ago. I've seen many changes here. I believed then as I believe now, the Southside is on the cusp of great things and will continue to grow and thrive.

What is your business best known for?

If you come into the store it is likely you will see me making fresh chocolates for the cases. My most popular sellers are (real dark chocolate) cayenne pepper Melt-a-ways, crystalized ginger and sea salted caramels that are made in house from scratch.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

Many of my customers notice the world map I have posted behind the counter. It is full of pins marking all of the places on the planet that people have taken and hand delivered my chocolates. Some of my well traveled customers are very proud of the number of pins they have contributed. They have to actually take the chocolates to their destination to receive a pin.

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?
