Mountain Bike Worth 'Thousands' Stolen, Police Say

Customized mountain bike was stolen during burglary in South Bethlehem early this month, police say.

Bethlehem Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a “very unique” mountain bike worth "several thousand dollars" that was stolen during a burglary in the South Side in the first week of June.

This bike is a silver-colored hardtail specialized carbon fiber Stumpjumper 29er and marked with part number 9113-4921, police said.

Police issued a picture of a similar bike with a blog post on the theft.

The owner had upgraded the bike with Bontrager T.I. tires and Shimano clipless pedals, police said. Police did not give further information about the burglary.
