ReplyWow, Gerry's comment shows what absolute ignorance there still is. The incident in the article is tragic and the act deplorable. I hope those responsible are persecuted to the fullest extent of the law. However, to categorize an entire group of people because of the acts of a few proves that your only relationship with Latinos are through negative news stories and none on a personal level. My husband is a Latino immigrant, and therefore my children are Latino as well. Calling my family "animals" is not only personally offensive, but shows your complete lack of social etiquette.

European and Asian airlines continue to offer a lot of amenities for free, including meals and premium drinks. But there is also an easy explanation for that. Airlines like British Airways, Alitalia, Air France, etc. are their country's flag carrying airline, which means they are subsidized by that country's government. The US does not have a flagship carrier so everything comes down to the bottom line.

I'm glad she was able to accommodate you! I wouldn't want to sit next to him either. I once had a man that boarded the plane with such bad BO that we actually had to have the CSR on the ground come and take him off. It was beyond BO. It was burning noses and people were getting ill.
