Road Rage on I-78: Shot Fired at Woman's Car

Pennsylvania State Police on the lookout for a silver, compact SUV with New Jersey plates; driver fired a bullet into car after encounter on highway, troopers say.

  Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast are looking for eyewitnesses to a road rage incident in which a gun was fired into a Bethlehem woman’s car along Interstate 78 near the Route 33 interchange. The incident began further west along eastbound I-78 near Route 412 in Lower Saucon Township at a little before 4 p.m. Wednesday, police said. According to troopers: The incident is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, which asks that anyone who saw what happened or has information on the silver SUV call the Belfast barracks at 610-759-6106.

Police: Man Fired Gun During Apartment Party

Watkins Street man faces multiple charges for firing a friend's gun during a party in an apartment.

  A Bethlehem man is accused of firing a gun inside of an apartment during a party in late October, according to court papers. Hykeem Rasmeen Sessons, 31, of 1822 Watkins St., was charged Friday with recklessly endangering another person and discharging a firearm within city limits, a summary offense. The affidavit did not make clear why Sessons was not arrested until Friday. The alleged incident occurred at 1825 Watkins St., Apartment D-6, in the hour after midnight on Oct. 25. Eyewitnesses told Bethlehem police that Sessons took a gun and fired it, the bullet nearly striking Daniel Giarraffn. Police: City Man Fired Shot at Ex-Girlfriend

An arrest warrant has been issued for David Bermudez, 33.

A Bethlehem man allegedly fired a gun at his ex-girlfriend, with her daughter sitting next to her, at their home at a housing development off of Pembroke Road, city police said. Fortunately, David Bermudez missed Jessica Ruiz and the juvenile daughter. Nonetheless, police have obtained a warrant for Bermudez’s arrest on multiple charges. Those charges are felony aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person. According to the police media release, Bermudez, 33, still lives with Ruiz at 1111 Merriman Court, where the incident took place at about 11 a.m., Thursday.
