Bethlehem Man Charged with Raping Woman High on Drugs

East Hills man at first denied the attack on a woman, but confessed after he failed a lie detector test on Tuesday, court papers say.

A Bethlehem man has been charged with raping a woman while she was incapacitated from taking a “controlled substance,” according to court papers. Johann A. Fermin-Jensen, 21, who lives in the East Hills section of the city, was charged with rape on Wednesday—a day after he failed a lie detector test and then admitted to the attack to his examiner, according to court papers. According to the arrest affidavit, the alleged attack happened on Feb. 27 at Fermin-Jensen’s home. The 20-year-old victim told Bethlehem police that she had asked Fermin-Jensen, via text message, to check on her because she was under the influence of a “controlled substance,” which was not specified in the affidavit. Freemansburg Man Charged With Raping Teen

16-year-old victim was hospitalized, police say. 53-year-old suspect jailed under $75,000 bail.

  A 53-year-old Freemansburg man has been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl last month. Court records say Gregory Lee Johnson is facing charges of rape-forcible compulsion, sexual assault, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault. The alleged incident occurred around 9pm Dec. 8, a Saturday, the records say. A criminal complaint filed by borough Patrolman Tim Schoenenberger also says: An arrest warrant for Johnson was approved Dec. 10 by District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township. Johnson was taken into custody Tuesday. The complaint does not explain the time gap. Rape Plot Targeted Real Estate Agents, DA Says

State Police at Fogelsville and Berks-Lehigh Regional Police investigated a report by a saleswoman for Pulte Homes in Upper Macungie. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

  A 29-year-old Bucks County man has been charged with intending to subdue and sexually assault real estate agents by luring them into model homes, according to a press release from the Lehigh County District Attorney's office. Frank A. Yeager, of 111 Hickory Lane, West Rockhill Township, was charged Friday after an investigation by State Police at Fogelsville and Berks-Lehigh Regional Police. Police said he took steps toward committing the crimes. Yeager is charged with one count of criminal attempt rape, two counts of carrying firearms without a license, and one count of possessing instruments of crime, a misdemeanor of the first degree, according to the prepared release. Police: Fountain Hill Man Raped Teenage Girl

State troopers say Brian Simmons asked girl to get in his car in Easton, then took her to Glendon where he forced her to have sex.

  A man with addresses in Fountain Hill and Easton is accused of raping a teenage girl. State police at Belfast say Brian William Simmons, AKA "40," raped the girl in his car in the borough of Glendon on July 3. According to court records, Simmons, 23, who knew the girl, asked her to get into his car while she was walking along Canal Street on Easton's South Side. They drove into Glendon, with Simmons asking the girl if she wanted to make some money. He pulled over onto Belmont St., where police say he forced the girl to have sex. The girl went home after the rape, court records say, and police were called. She was able to identify Simmons because they had prior contact. A warrant was issued for his arrest in July. Indiana Man Charged with Hotel Room Rape

Bethlehem Township police say Indianapolis man raped travel companion at Courtyard hotel room.

  The observations and intervention of two St. Luke’s employees near the hospital’s Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township led to police charging an Indianapolis man with raping a Korean woman at a nearby hotel. Christy Radcliffe and Wayne Steele of St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services told police they were driving in the area of Route 33 and Freemansburg Avenue early Wednesday when they saw a man “forcibly dragging and pulling” a woman toward a vehicle “while she was pushing, kicking, screaming and crying in an attempt to get away.” The woman later told police – with the help of a Korean interpreter – that Radcliffe and Steele approached the man – Yuange Gao, 43 – and asked him what he was doing. Suspect allegedly assaulted woman Saturday morning at his home, police say.

  A Bethlehem man was charged with rape Saturday after allegedly assaulting a woman in his home. City police say John Hunsberger III, 39, of 643 Marshall St., Unit 1, forced a woman to perform oral sex on him early Saturday morning in his home. According to police, the woman flagged down an officer to report what happened. She said she'd gone with Hunsberger to his home around 2 a.m. Saturday, where he grabbed her by the hair and sexually assaulted her. Police say Hunsberger also stole $35 from the woman as she was tried to get out of his home. He is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, indecent assault, robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and harassment. Police say suspect took advantage of drunk, sleeping 16-year-old girl at college party.

  A 20-year-old DeSales University student has been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl in her sleep during an October party at his home in South Bethlehem, police said. Brian K. Tevald, 20, of 437 Montclair Ave., was arraigned on rape and associated charges Friday in front of District Judge Joseph Barner and released on 10 percent of $25,000 bail. According to the court record, Tevald and other DeSales students hosted a party at the Montclair Avenue home on October 1 and the early morning hours of October 2. The victim’s brother, an 18-year-old DeSales student, invited the victim to the party, according to police. Vincent J. Arnold, 21, allegedly raped a Lower Saucon Township boy at least 50 times between 2001 and 2006, according to published reports.

A Bethlehem man allegedly raped a boy from Lower Saucon Township at least 50 times between 2001 and 2006, when the child was between the ages of 3 and 8, according to stories published Thursday on both the Morning Call and the Express-Times websites. Vincent J. Arnold, 21, of the 100 block of Saucon View Drive, allegedly threatened the boy at knifepoint and forced him to perform sex acts at a home on Rosalie Drive in the township, according to the Express-Times story. The boy, who is now 13, told Northampton County Children, Youth and Families case workers about the alleged abuse in February, and police were then notified, the report states.
