'Lucky' Hess Station Sells 3 Winning Powerball Tickets

What's up with the Hess gas station on Route 309 in Orefield? It's sold three winning lottery tickets with large jackpots, in February, March and April.

What are the chances Wednesday's winning $60 million Powerball ticket will be sold at the Hess station on Route 309 in Orefield? Ticket holder got five numbers right -- but not the Powerball -- in Wednesday drawing.

  One Powerball ticket worth $2 million from the Oct. 17 drawing was sold at Wegmans in Hanover Township, Northampton County, the Pensylvania Lottery reported today. The ticket correctly matched all five white balls -- 01-07-10-23-42 -- but not the red Powerball 35, and added Power Play, which sets the prize at $2 million, less 25 percent federal withholding. Wegmans will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling this winning ticket. Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated.
