Michelle Obama Urges 2,400 in Bethlehem to Get 'One More'

First lady Michelle Obama delivers fiery speech before 2,400 supporters at Moravian College.

  First Lady Michelle Obama came to Bethlehem Thursday night and delivered a fiery speech aimed at inspiring the 2,400 in attendance to get at least one more person to the polls in November to help re-elect her husband. “Barack has said this election will be even closer than the last one. This election could come to those last few thousand votes, particularly in this state,” she told the standing-room-only crowd gathered at Moravian College in the Johnston Hall gym. “When you think of a few thousand votes spread out across the state, that could be the one new voter that you register, that one neighbor you get to the polls. Reminder: First Lady Michelle Obama to Campaign in Bethlehem Thursday

First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at Moravian College.

First Lady Michelle Obama will campaign for her husband Thursday at Moravian College in Bethlehem. The First Lady will speak to grassroots supporters and volunteers at 7:10 p.m. at the college's Johnston Hall. The event is open to the public but tickets are required. The stop in Bethlehem will be the last of three on Thursday for the First Lady. Earlier in the day, she is scheduled for campaign stops in West Philadelphia and Montgomery County.  The First Lady last visited the Lehigh Valley in 2008, when her husband was a presidential candidate. She came to Cedar Crest College with Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden. Follow Patch for coverage of the event, including on Twitter and Facebook.

All First Ladies have jobs which are undefined and unpaid. they have the perks of being surrounded with Secret Service all the time; ditto their children; not my idea of a great life - very little privacy and the media jumping on every act, expression, food they eat, every choice. they are all amazing women who survive their time in the public eye. doubt if many would chose it as first choice.   more ›
