Freemansburg Man Charged With Raping Teen

16-year-old victim was hospitalized, police say. 53-year-old suspect jailed under $75,000 bail.

  A 53-year-old Freemansburg man has been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl last month. Court records say Gregory Lee Johnson is facing charges of rape-forcible compulsion, sexual assault, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault. The alleged incident occurred around 9pm Dec. 8, a Saturday, the records say. A criminal complaint filed by borough Patrolman Tim Schoenenberger also says: An arrest warrant for Johnson was approved Dec. 10 by District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township. Johnson was taken into custody Tuesday. The complaint does not explain the time gap. He was arraigned at 9 Tuesday night by on-duty District Judge Todd Strohe of Bangor and committed to Northampton County …

Police: Sex Offender Solicited 12-Year-Old Girl

Joseph Frank Gering Jr. offered to pay a 12-year-old girl $200 for sex in the McDonald's parking lot in South Bethlehem, police say.

  When a 63-year-old man was charged earlier this week in Bethlehem with offering a 12-year-old girl $200 to have sex with him, an issue arose about his address. The criminal complaint for Joseph Frank Gering Jr. lists his address as 105 N. 5th St., Emmaus, along with a post office box number. But Gering is a convicted sex offender – in fact, he is listed as a “lifetime offender” on the Megan’s Law website. Gering was convicted in 1994 of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. The website does not say where. The website lists his “primary residential address” as 1701 Catasauqua Road, Hanover Township (Lehigh County) – the address for the Scottish Inn & Suites. Police: City Man Had Illicit Contact with Boys

Lafayette College student from West Bethlehem accused of meeting Salisbury teen for sex and sending explicit messages and graphic pictures to boy in Oklahoma.

  A West Bethlehem man who for about a half-year allegedly carried on an intimate electronic relationship with a 14-year-old Oklahoma boy is facing multiple felony charges including corruption of minors, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Alexander Theodore Clow, 20, of 1316 Shelbourne Drive, is also accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old Salisbury Township boy with whom he met after forming a friendship through a social networking Website, police said. Clow, a student at Lafayette College in Easton, turned himself into police today and was released on $75,000 unsecured bail following his arraignment before District Judge Wayne Maura in Bethlehem. Police: City Man Exposed Himself to 5-Year-Old Girl

Jahhi Knox is arrested on multiple charges for alleged incident while he was babysitting.

A 20-year-old Bethlehem man was charged with an indecent assault of a 5-year-old girl he was babysitting for in the city on Saturday, according to court records. Jahhi Knox, who the records say is homeless, was arraigned Wednesday and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. According to the arrest warrant, Knox exposed his penis to the girl and rubbed it against her right leg. The girl asked him to stop. The girl’s mother told police that Knox was babysitting for the girl for about four hours in an apartment at 17 W. Raspberry St. Knox admitted to the incident and apologized, according to the court records. Teacher Accused of Having Sex with Student

Allen High teacher is charged with corruption of minors for her alleged tryst with a 17-year-old boy.

This afternoon, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Roger MacLean announced that William Allen High School teacher Gabrielle Suzanne Marvelli, 38, has been charged with Corruption of Minors for allegedly having sex with a student. According to the release from the District Attorney's office, the criminal complaint "alleges that Marvelli had sexual intercourse with the student on May 28, 2011, at an Allentown motel.  The student, whose name is not being disclosed, was 17 at the time but was one week short of his 18th birthday.
