Owner of Seriously Girlie Couture is accused of making fraudulent charges, paying personal bills with customer debit cards, according to police complaint.
The owner of a Bethlehem Township spa and salon fraudulently used debit card numbers of two of her customers, according to a criminal complaint filed by police on Monday. Tocara Davis, 28, the owner of Seriously Girlie Couture at 2485 Willow Park Road, was charged with four counts of access device fraud—two felonies and two misdemeanors. According to the criminal complaint, Davis took two unauthorized charges—for a total of $1,672—from the debit card of a couple that had purchased a party for their daughter at the spa. The couple paid $86, with the debit card, for the party on Dec. 28. One unauthorized charge for $686 was made on Dec. 31 and another for $986 was made on Jan. 11, the complaint said. Bethlehem man charged with fraud and theft for allegedly buying more than $3,500 in gas for his car with a company credit card.
A Bethlehem man working for a cleaning service has admitted to police he used company credit cards to pay for more than $3,500 in gasoline for his own vehicle—something he was not authorized to do, court records say. Even before police got involved, the company fired Jose Delgado-Perez, 54, because it suspected he was using the credit cards for his own use, the records say. Delgado-Perez told police he worked for the company—ARC Maintenance, 5940 Keystone Drive, East Allen Township, near Route 329 and Airport Road—for about three months in 2012. Former mayor and councilman Gordon Mowrer had his ATM card taken by grandson, who then withdrew more than $1,000 over the course of a month, court papers say.
A grandson of former Bethlehem mayor and city councilman Gordon Mowrer was charged Tuesday with stealing his grandfather’s ATM card and making more than $1,000 in withdrawals from his bank account, according to court papers. In confessing to the crime to a city police detective, Forest G. Huron said he needed money to pay the costs on another criminal case in which he was accepted into a first-time offenders program. Huron, 19, of 4648 Hampshire Drive, Hanover Township, Northampton County, was charged with access device fraud, a third-class felony; theft; and receiving stolen property.
