Bethlehem Area Public Library is open. Northampton County Courthouse is closed. Lehigh County Courthouse is closed. Northampton and Lehigh county government offices are closed. District Judge offices are closed. State offices are closed. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver's license and photo centers are closed. Here's a rundown of Veterans Day 2012 facts from the U.S. Census Bureau: Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Thank a veteran!
