Police and the Lehigh County District Attorney believe they know who shot and killed Tyree Wimberly in the early morning of Jan. 26 as he walked past a strip club on the border between Bethlehem and Allentown. On Wednesday, District Attorney Jim Martin announced that an arrest warrant has been obtained for Ulysses Rodriguez, a 20-year-old man whose last known address was 937 Walnut St. in Allentown. District Judge Wayne Maura issued the arrest warrant on Tuesday, the DA said. The Bethlehem Police Department and the DA’s Homicide Task Force are asking for the public’s help in finding Rodriguez, whose street name is “Slime,” according to a DA news release. Law enforcement officials have released surveillance photos of four people who may have witnessed the Saturday morning shooting that killed Tyree Wimberly. Bethlehem police and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office are asking anyone who knows any of the four individuals in the photographs to come forward and name them. Wimberly, 21, of 2341 S. Alice St., Allentown, was shot at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on the 2200 block of W. Broad Street, in front of Scoobie’s, a strip club on the Allentown side of the municipal boundary between the two cities.
