Update: Driver in Fatal Stefko Crash is Identified
Driver in one-vehicle crash on Stefko Boulevard was dead at the scene, passenger hospitalized, police say.
One person was killed and another injured in a one-vehicle crash in front of the Just Born candy company on Stefko Boulevard Saturday night, Bethlehem police said. The driver was dead at the scene, police said. A passenger, who also was not identified, was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill with “unknown injuries,” police said. The Northampton County Coroner's Office has identified the person killed as Dwayne A. Hackett, 42, of Indianapolis, Indiana, according to a Morning Call report. The death was ruled an accident. Coroner Zachary Lysek said speed was a factor in the crash. He is awaiting the results of toxicology tests. The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. and forced police to close Stefko Boulevard between …

Monty Jey, Dwayne was driving the car of a friend of mine named John. The car was recently purchased and was a very fast V8 Mustang. I rode in that car just the week before. The car handled unbelievably well so I hate to say it but the only way to lose it was if he was driving extremely fast.
