A Bethlehem woman is accused of forcing a 15-year-old boy to have sex with her earlier this year. City police say Priscilla Roman, 35, of 502 E. 4th St., Apt. 2E, initiated the encounter between herself and the boy in April. According to court records: Roman and the boy had sex at his home on April 14. The boy told police he didn't want to, and felt ashamed and embarrassed afterward. In an interview with police, Roman denied the allegations against her, and told investigators she had psychiatric problems. She agreed to take a lie detector test, but then later changed her mind. She arraigned before on-duty District Judge Gay Elwell Thursday, on charges of statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, both felonies, …

A Bethlehem man who pleaded guilty to statutory sexual assault was sentenced to five to 10 years in a state prison following emotional testimony given by his victim at today’s sentencing hearing, according to The Morning Call. Jose M. Vazquez’s sentence is the maximum he could have received for the conviction, which came in a plea agreement that followed a trial in which the jury could not agree whether Vazquez was guilty of a more serious charge, such as child rape. At the sentencing hearing, Vazquez’s victim spoke of the abuse she suffered at his hands, which allegedly began when she was 8 years old.

Colonial Regional Police say Edward Moyer III, 18, had sex with 12-year-old girl.
An 18-year-old Bethlehem man is facing multiple felony counts for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl, according to court records. Edward Moyer III, of 1421 Lebanon St., was charged with the sex crime today by Colonial Regional Police. The alleged attack took place before noon on June 8 at 1460 Ciara Drive in Hanover Township, Northampton County. The charges against Moyer are statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. Moyer was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail following his arraignment before District Judge James J. Narlesky.
