2-4 Inches of Snow Possible Wednesday

A winter storm could bring between 2 and 4 inches of snow to Bethlehem on Wednesday.

First, the impending storm was called a potential "atmospheric bomb" that could dump one to feet of snow on eastern Pennsylvania. Then forecasters said the storm would hit significantly south of the Lehigh Valley. Now, the storm track appears clearer and the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Bethlehem beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday and ending at 3 a.m. Thursday. Highlights include: A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow may make travel difficult. Be prepared for slippery roads. WFMZ is forecasting one to three inches of snow for the Lehigh Valley.

Snow Likely in Bethlehem This Afternoon

With continued frigid temperatures, Bethlehem could get a coating to an inch of snow this afternoon, making for a slippery commute home, according to the National Weather Service.

A quick-moving storm is expected to bring snow to Bethlehem this afternoon and tonight, according to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service. Snow could start falling after 3 p.m. and bring a coating to an inch of snow, the Weather Service predicts. While this is not a large amount of snow by Pennsylvania standards, the timing of the storm’s arrival could make for a slippery commute home during the Friday evening rush hour. Also, the frigid temperatures will remain. Today’s forecast high is 22 degrees with a northwest wind that could make it feel more like -1. Temperatures will continue to stay well below freezing over the weekend. We could see a warm-up next week, but not before another chance for a winter …

Deep Freeze All Week in Bethlehem, Snow on Friday

Daytime highs will be well below freezing all week in Bethlehem, while the National Weather Service also calls for the potential for "plowable snowfall" on Friday.

An arctic air mass is bringing Bethlehem and the rest of the Lehigh Valley the longest period of cold weather it has seen in two years. There's snow in the forecast along with a big chill that will keep daytime high temperatures from rising out of the 20s for the rest of the week. The daytime high temperature is not expected to go above the freezing mark until Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Today is the most frigid day in the forecast, as the high temperature is expected to be 20 degrees with a wind chill factor that will make it feel like less than zero. Tonight's low, like Tuesday's, is expected to be in the single digits. Friday's forecast is calling for a low pressure system that has the potential to bring "…

Major Snowstorm Could Hit Eastern Pa. Next Week

Forecasters are keeping a close eye on computer models that show a big snowstorm could be headed to eastern Pennsylvania around Dec. 19-20

Update 11 a.m. Thursday: WFMZ reports a storm is looking increasingly likely for Tuesday-Wednesday but the big question is whether it will be rain or snow. The National Weather Service predicts a chance of rain/snow on Tuesday night. Original Story: It could be much more than a White Christmas if the Lehigh Valley gets one to two feet of snow next week. The Eastern Pa. Weather Authority says a potentially "monstrous" storm is showing up on a European weather model, according to the following post on the group's Facebook page: Update on next week's storm potential.... this is as monstrous of a storm you can get just about, as modeled on today's 12z European model run. This would be, if correct, a "KU" storm... or one for the history books. …

Winter Storm Could Bring 6 Inches of Snow

Snow is expected to begin overnight and continue with mixed precipitation through Saturday.

It's time to get the snow boots out, folks.  According to Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol, the Lehigh Valley can expect between 2 and 6 inches of precipitation in the form of snow and sleet over the weekend. The snow is predicted to begin overnight tonight and continue through Saturday.  Weather Underground and Accuweather have similar predictions. Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol Predicts Lots of Snow

Weather watchers Bobby and Suzy have a fast-growing fan base

Starting your own weather service seems a bit like creating your own mail delivery – the kind of thing only new countries and millionaire businessmen do. Bobby Martrich and Susan Haberacker are neither but they managed to launch the “Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol with Bobby and Suzy” 11 months ago and have seen it grow by great gusts. The Weather Patrol, which issues forecasts from its Facebook page, has more than 4,300 fans. Its popularity has encouraged Martrich and Haberacker, both 35, to move the Weather Patrol to its own web site in January and sell advertisements to offset costs and make money for their labors. The business partners plan to drop their names from the title when it moves to www.lehighvalleyweatherpatrol.com   Even after…
