Pa. Casino Revenue Up in August

Revenue at Pennsylvania's 11 casinos - including the Sands in Bethlehem - is up more than 5 percent over August 2011

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site that August gross revenue at the 11 operating casinos was $210,584,315, a figure 5.7 percent higher than gross revenue from slots in August 2011.  For the 10 casinos that were open for the full month of August in both 2011 and 2012, there was also an increase in slot machine gross revenue of 3.7 percent.  That comparison does not include the Valley Forge Casino Resort which opened at the end of March 2012. Tax revenue to the Commonwealth this August totaled $113,558,137. Gross revenue for each of the casinos operating in August 2012 is as follows, with the percentage change reflected for those casinos that were operating in August of both years: Casino August 2012 …
