Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol Predicts Lots of Snow

Weather watchers Bobby and Suzy have a fast-growing fan base

Starting your own weather service seems a bit like creating your own mail delivery – the kind of thing only new countries and millionaire businessmen do. Bobby Martrich and Susan Haberacker are neither but they managed to launch the “Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol with Bobby and Suzy” 11 months ago and have seen it grow by great gusts. The Weather Patrol, which issues forecasts from its Facebook page, has more than 4,300 fans. Its popularity has encouraged Martrich and Haberacker, both 35, to move the Weather Patrol to its own web site in January and sell advertisements to offset costs and make money for their labors. Lehigh Valley May See Wet Snow Thursday Morning

Rain Wednesday could turn to snow Wednesday night

UPDATE Wednesday 9 a.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lehigh and Northampton counties for 10 p.m. Wednesday through 4 a.m. Thursday. The advisory says two to four inches of snow may accumulate. The Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol is predicting higher snow totals with rain changing to snow by 11 p.m. and one to two inches of snow falling per hour through 5 or 6 a.m. ------------------------------- Original Story: The National Weather Service says we could wake up to one or two inches of wet snow Thursday morning. UPDATE: A winter weather advisory has been issued by the NWS for 2 to 4 inches of wet snow. The advisory will be in effect from 10pm tonight until 4am Thursday. A flood watch is also in effect today (Wednesday).   more ›
