Saanvi Venna's Body Found

The 10-month-old had been missing since Monday. A family friend has been charged in the murders of the child and her grandmother, who reportedly attacked the would-be kidnapper as he tried to take her granddaughter.

The body of Saanvi Venna, the 10-month-old girl who disappeared from the Marquis Apartments in King of Prussia on Monday following the murder of her grandmother, was found at about 4:30 a.m. Friday in a sauna room inside the apartment complex, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said. Raghunandan Yandamuri, 26, described by Ferman as a friend of the Venna family, has been charged in the murders of Saanvi and Satyavathi Venna. Ferman said Yandamuri told authorities that he intended to kidnap the child and hold her for $50,000 ransom. See this article's photo section to see a copy of the ransom note. Was married recently to his long time girlfriend who is by the way pregnant now. Had a decent job. i guess he wanted to get the big bucks within a small amount of time to clear his debt. Gang Member Admits Kidnapping Man at Gunpoint, Police Say

An errant bullet and the victim's drivers license links suspect to kidnapping and robbery earlier this month, Bethlehem Police say.

An 18-year-old “admitted member” of the Bloods gang -- telling police about “his need for money” -- has confessed to kidnapping a man at gunpoint earlier this month, threatening to kill him and forcing him to withdraw money from an ATM just blocks from the teen’s home, authorites said. Police got a break in the case Thursday when they linked the suspect, Cameron Christian Blake of Bethlehem, to a shot fired from a .357 Magnum that went through the floor of Blake’s apartment and into the apartment below, where a woman and her 6-month-old baby live. No one was hit. Inside Blake’s apartment, police found a loaded .357 Magnum, “various firearms,” several types of ammunition, and the New Jersey driver’s license of the man named in court records…

Amber Alert Ends: Abducted Toddler Found Safe

Police say armed men abducted 2-year-old Tymire Dior Smith from Montgomery County after assaulting his father.

Last updated 10:55 a.m. Wednesday The toddler that Pennsylvania State Police issued an Amber Alert about early Wednesday morning has been found safe, reports NBC10. Two-year-old Tymire Dior Smith had been abducted from an Upper Dublin Township home in Montgomery County by three armed men who stole a new, dark-colored Chrysler 300 with a partial Pennsylvania license plate of HYJ68. NBC10 reported that friends of the family said the kidnappers called the family a short time later, demanding ransom money. Metro Philadelphia reported that Tymire was found by a Philadelphia police officer on a sidewalk at the intersection of North 66th Street and Malvern Avenue about six hours after the abduction was reported. Police: Woman, Kidnapped Daughter Might be in PA

Tara Bertrand, 39, lost custody of her 5-year-old daughter Kiera and was supposed to turn the child over to DFS on Monday. Police believe she may be in Pennsylvania.

According to a release issued by Delaware State Police, troopers are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a woman wanted in connection with interfering with the custody of her 5-year old daughter.  On Monday April 2, detectives from Troop 4 in Georgetown, Del., assisted the Division of Family Services (DFS) with an investigation involving Tara Bertrand, 39, in reference to the neglect of her child, 5-year-old Kiera Bertrand. DFS was awarded custody of Kiera Bertrand through Family Court in Sussex County. Tara Bertrand did not appear at the hearing, nor did she bring her child to the hearing as requested.  The whereabouts of Bertrand and her daughter are unknown, but there is a possibility the two may be in or traveling to …

Mother, Son Arrested on Kidnapping Charges

Father allegedly abducted his daughter in New Jersey, then brought her to his mother's house in Hanover Township.

  A woman and man who are mother and son were arrested on kidnapping charges in Hanover Township, Northampton County on Friday, according to published media reports and court records. Carole Jackson, 48, of the 5400 block of Nala Drive, Hanover Township, was arrested and charged in relation to a New Jersey case involving the alleged abduction of her granddaughter, Thalia Jackson. Police in Bogota, N.J., allege that 24-year-old Robert Jackson abducted his daughter “by force” while she was being cared for by a babysitter. Jackson then allegedly brought her to Pennsylvania. An article published by the online Cliffview Pilot indicates that the alleged kidnapping occurred Friday, and states that the two-year-old girl was returned to the custody…
