A Bethlehem boxer who currently holds the WBC Continental Americas welterweight title will defend that championship in a bout at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on September 21, The Express-Times reported. Ronald Cruz won his championship belt at the Sands on June 1 in a 12-round decision over Pernice Brewer. He will defend the title against Antwun Smith in another scheduled 12-round main event for Friday Night Fights at the Sands. Cruz is undefeated at 17-0. This will be the third time he has fought professionally in his home town.
