Pick Up a Book, Pass It Around
Celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday by joining book lovers and your local school or public library for Read Across America day.
Schools and libraries all over the state are participating in Read Across America with reading events. Here in Bethlehem, in school events are planned today at Donegan Elementary School in the SouthSide and Asa Packer Elementary School in Hanover Township. The Bethlehem Area Public Library has planned its event for Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. on the second floor. Games, crafts, music and stories are all planned for this Family Fun Night with all things Seuss. This year, the National Education Association, a group of more than 3.2 million educators who work to improve public schools, and several literacy and youth groups, are calling on book lovers around the nation to take up The Lorax, the popular Dr. Seuss children's book published …
