Democrat Dan McNeill won the 133rd House District race over Republican challenger Dave Molony. With 97 percent of the districts reporting, McNeill garnered 9,912 votes, or 62 percent, to Molony's 6,109 votes, or 38 percent. McNeill, a former union leader, Whitehall Township supervisor and executive, touted a record of passing five years of balanced budgets without a tax increase. As a former manager of regional partnerships for Lehigh County, McNeill worked with 25 municipalities to secure grants. In August, McNeill was picked to replace incumbent Rep. A taped debate between the candidates for the 133rd House District seat, Democrat Dan McNeill and Republican Dave Molony, will air at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 on "Business Matters," hosted by Tony Iannelli. Both candidates asserted they had the qualifications to represent the 133rd District, which includes parts of eastern Salisbury, Hanover, Whitehall townships, Fountain Hill and Coplay boroughs, about half of Bethlehem and part of Allentown. Former Whitehall Township Commissioner Dan McNeill will be the new Democratic nominee for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives 133rd District. The Pennsylvania Democratic Party Executive Committee on Monday approved McNeill, who was recommended by party committee members within the legislative district, The Express-Times reported. Brennan, a three-term legislator from Fountain Hill, withdrew from the race after being charged with assaulting his wife and driving drunk two weeks ago. McNeill received 15 of 40 votes placed by Democratic committee members from within the legislative district on Sunday night – the most out of a field of eight candidates, the newspaper reported.
