Man Shot at Comfort Inn in Bethlehem Township, Police Say
A Bethlehem man was shot and seriously injured at the Comfort Inn in Bethlehem Township, police say.
A Bethlehem man who was staying at the Comfort Inn on Highfield Drive in Bethlehem Township was shot Wednesday evening and the two assailants fled. Manuel Rodriguez-Valcarcel, 30, of 756 Dellwood St. in Bethlehem was hit at least once --in the leg -- but might also have been hit in the stomach, according to Bethlehem Township Sgt. Rick Blake. He was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill, where he was in serious condition, Blake said. The report of the shooting came in at 6:19 p.m. Both assailants had guns and multiple shots were fired at Rodriguez-Valcarcel in a hotel hallway near the lobby, Blake said.
