Driver Charged in Deaths of NY Couple, Baby
Julio Acevedo formally charged after surrendering in Bethlehem earlier this week.
The man who surrendered in Bethlehem after leaving the scene of a fatal accident that killed a couple and their unborn baby last weekend in Brooklyn has been formally charged, the NYPD said in a statement. According to the statement from the police, Julio Acevedo was apprehended Wednesday during an arranged surrender in the parking lot of a minimart on Hellertown Road in Bethlehem. Acevedo waived his right to an extradition hearing and was brought back to New York on Thursday by the NYPD. Acevedo has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, causing death of child passenger, leaving the scene of an accident, and criminal negligent homicide in the deaths of an Orthodox couple and their baby, who was born prematurely before dying earlier …

Unbelievable! Something more needs to be done about these offenders that are driving under the influence. He was arrested last month, I'm sure his license was suspended and he is out again, this time he killed an entire family. Something needs to change and quick.   more ›
