David Martinez, the 20-year-old labeled a “serial rapist” by the Northampton County district attorney, faced a fifth set of charges Thursday in yet another case involving a teenage girl that police said he contacted through Facebook. The alleged victim in this case contacted police on Feb. 9—three days after District Attorney John Morganelli described Martinez as a possible “serial rapist” and encouraged other victims to come forward. David Martinez of Bethlehem is accused of raping two pregnant 17-year-old girls, bringing the number of alleged sexual assaults to four.
A 20-year-old Bethlehem man whom Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli has called a serial rapist was charged Wednesday with committing two more sexual assaults on teenage girls. A Bethlehem man who allegedly blamed his sex addiction for the rape of two teens he met on Facebook may have other victims, Northampton County's District Attorney said Wednesday. John Morganelli says police interviews with 20-year-old David Martinez suggest he met and sexually assaulted other girls. As he prepares to prosecute the case, he's hoping to hear from other young women who were targeted by Martinez. "We do consider him a person of danger and a serial rapist," Morganelli told reporters at a news conference at his office.
