Viewfinder: Eagles Youth Football Camp

Camp teaches boys fundamentals of football.

Today is the first day that the public can watch the pros for the 16th year at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. Eagles training camp opens at 8 a.m. with all the usual fanfare and fun - banners, cheerleaders, autograph tent and tailgating. Public practices and autograph sessions will continue for the next two weeks. Meanwhile, Eagles Youth Football Camp held at Bethlehem Catholic High School gave boys ages six through 14 a chance to learn the game of football and develop skills in a non-contact environment.  This week, campers had an opportunity to meet an Eagles hero. Former Eagles wide receiver Ben Hawkins who played on the team from 1966-1973 met with the boys and signed autographs.
