Amanda Seyfried on People's 'Most Beautiful' List

It's a big year for Amanda Seyfried with a stunning red carpet turn at the Oscars, a new movie out this weekend and a spot on People's 'Most Beautiful' list.

Lehigh Valley native Amanda Seyfried continues to attract a national spotlight with her new movie, "The Big Wedding," opening this weekend and being named to People magazine's "Most Beautiful" list. Other regional natives on the list include Taylor Swift from Berks County (Wyomissing) and Pink from Doylestown in Bucks County. Who would you put on the list? Tell us in the comments section below. Seyfried's first movie was "Mean Girls" and her break-through role came in "Mamma Mia" with Meryl Streep. Last year, she starred in "Les Miserables." Seyfried grew up in Allentown.

Amanda Seyfried Wants Juicy Role in 'Mean Girls' Musical

Lehigh Valley actress Amanda Seyfried, whose first movie was 'Mean Girls,' wants to play a juicer role if the story is adapted into a stage musical.

Allentown native Amanda Seyfried, fresh off a big role in "Les Miserables," wants to play queen bee Regina if a rumored musical production of "Mean Girls" comes to fruition. Seyfried's film debut came in the 2004 "Mean Girls" movie written by Tina Fey and starring Lindsay Lohan. Seyfriend is quoted in a recent Allure magazine interview saying she "desperately" wants to play the main "mean girl" in a stage musical version of the film. Seyfried stars with Robert DeNiro, Katherine Heigl and Diane Keaton in "The Big Wedding" opening Friday.

How did Lehigh Valley's Amanda Seyfried derail Anne Hathaway's plan for what to wear on the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards?

The 2013 Oscar ceremony is history but there's still buzz about what the stars wore on the red carpet and—why. Turns out Lehigh Valley star Amanda Seyfried may have caused her "Les Miserables" co-star Anne Hathaway to make a hasty last-minute gown selection change. Allentown native Seyfried looked stunning in a pale appliqued dress by British designer Alexander McQueen. Reports now say Hathaway saw a photo of the gown Seyfried planned to wear and then changed her choice because the gowns were so similar. Hathaway said she was planning to wear a Valentino gown up until just three hours before the awards ceremony. She ended up wearing a pale pink Prada gown with chest darts that accentated her, um, nipples. Hathaway issued an apology about …

Lehigh Valley's own Amanda Seyfried was among the best dressed actresses on the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards

"Les Miserables" co-star Amanda Seyfried, an Allentown native, wore an Alexander McQueen ivory applique gown at the 2013 Oscars on Sunday night. Seyfried was just one of the stars who opted for pale-colored, ethereal gowns for the big night, according to InStyle UK. The website Just Jared called Seyfried's Oscar look "glamorous perfection." Seyfried's breakout role came when she starred along with Meryl Streep in "Mama Mia" in 2008. Seyfried, 27, wore a red Givenchy gown to the Governors Ball after the Academy Awards ceremony.

Allentown native Amanda Seyfried is included in a photo gallery of "Worst Hairstyles in Movie History" for the red wig she wore in last year's thriller "In Time." The list also includes Dustin Hoffman in "Tootsie" and Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally." Seyfried's breakthrough role came in 2008 in the movie musical "Mamma Mia."
