Broughal Shines Light on After School Programs
"Lights on Afterschool" parade, rally will feature students' art and community school video.
As many as 250 students, teachers, parents and community residents are expected to form a glowing procession as they walk from Broughal Middle School to SteelStacks along the South Bethlehem Greenway this Thursday evening as part of the national Lights On Afterschool rally for after-school programs. The Broughal Middle School Marching Band will head the parade, to be lit by participants carrying glowsticks, and partners in the Broughal Community School Initiative, including the Bethlehem Area School District, Lehigh University, Just Born, Inc. and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley will also take part.
