7-Eleven Clerk Charged with Stealing Lottery Tickets

Police say Stacy Ann Hinkle of Whitehall stole more than $3,000 in scratch-offs and cash.

  A clerk at a 7-Eleven convenience store on Linden Street was charged with felony theft for allegedly scheming to steal more than $3,000 in Pennsylvania instant lottery tickets and cash, according to court records. Stacy Ann Hinkle, 27, of 638 Jordan Circle, Whitehall Township, would allegedly remove a carton of cigarettes from a store display rack, scan it into the store register as a refund, place the cigarettes back in the display, then remove the value of the “refund” in lottery tickets, according the arrest affidavit. Armed Robber Visits 7-Eleven

He brandishes gun, but makes off with only a $20 bill.

A convenience store clerk was held up at gunpoint early this morning, but the robber made off with just a $20 bill, Bethlehem police said. The stickup took place at the 7-Eleven at 101 E. Broad St. at about 4 a.m. this morning, according to the city’s daily incident report release.
