Dan McNeill Picked to Replace Brennan in 133rd House Race
Democrats picked Whitehall Township's Dan McNeill to replace state Rep. Joe Brennan in the 133rd House race this fall.
Local Democrats met Sunday and selected Danny McNeill, 65, of Whitehall Township to replace state Rep. Joe Brennan as their candidate in the 133rd House race this fall, according to the Morning Call. McNeill, 65, is a Whitehall Township commissioner and former union leader. Brennan withdrew from the race after being charged with assaulting his wife and driving drunk two weeks ago. Patch readers said Brennan should step down in an informal poll taken after his arrest. Sunday's vote will be submitted to the state Democratic Party's executive committee for review. A final decision on Brennan's replacement is expected tomorrow, according to Lehigh Valley Live.
