Now that Musikfest is over, the countdown to the first day of school is on in Bethlehem. In the case of most students, we are two weeks away as of Monday.

Road milling projects around Bethlehem could wreak havoc with any daytime errands you may have.

The work will mean lane restrictions and some flagging along Center Street between Elizabeth Avenue and Goepp Street and Freemansburg Avenue between Washington Street and Willow Park Road on Monday.

Route 378 between Broadway and Black River Road could be affected all week.

Northampton Community College’s Fowler Family SouthSide Center will host an interactive session on casino careers on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A new career in the casino industry can be launched with 12 weeks of training or less.

After the information session, stick around in the mock casino to see the blackjack, craps and baccarat games, while interacting with instructors and current students to get a feel for what the training and career entails.

Classes begin September 9, 2013.  For additional information about the programs, visit http://www.northampton.edu/casino.
