Last Day to Donate to Boutique at the Rink

Only a few more hours left to pack up those unwanted, but sale-worthy items to benefit St. Luke's.

 

Today is the last day to make donations to the Boutique at the Rink, the annual sale of gently used items -- clothing, jewelry, housewares and other stuff -- to benefit , St. Luke’s Hospice and the Cancer Support Community.

Until 1 p.m. today, new and clean, gently used items of clothing and accessories, shoes and purses, lingerie, jewelry, toys, house wares, antiques and vintage, appliances, linens, sports equipment, and collectibles can be dropped off at the , 345 Illick’s Mill Road, across from the city’s golf course.

Helping hands can unload your treasures and provide donation tax forms.

This is the 38th year of the sale that draws shoppers from across the Lehigh Valley and many states. Last year, the Boutique raised $150,000 through donations from the community and retailers, with all proceeds going to the local cancer services. More than 300 dedicated volunteers sort, tag and sell the items at a fraction of retail cost.

Mark your calendar to return to the rink for Sale Days: 4 to 9 p.m., May 29 on Premiere Night for a $10 donation; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., May 30, full price day; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., May 31 and June 1, half price days; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 2, Bag Day.

You won’t want to miss scoring bargains for the entire family; shopping for holiday gifts; outfitting school dorms; finding household necessities, and hunting for unexpected treasures.
