Boutique at the Rink Supports Cancer Services

Annual volunteer-run sale at the Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink opens Tuesday, has bargains for the entire family.

 

If the hunt for bargain treasures is as much enticement as stretching hard-earned dollars, then the Boutique at the Rink in Bethlehem this week should be the target for savvy shoppers.  

The department-store-size sale of new and used items at a fraction of retail price opens Tuesday and continues through Saturday in the Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink, 349 Illick’s Mill Road.

Clothing for the entire family, including a wide selection of plus-size attire and menswear, accessories, shoes, lingerie, house wares, toys, antiques and vintage, linens, collectibles, sports equipment, china, and jewelry are among bargains to be snagged.  

The sale kicks off at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Premiere Night. For a $10 entry donation, shoppers have first pick of everything, including new designer fashions, furs, famous-maker handbags, shoes, formal wear and “bling” jewelry.

Sale days and hours are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, full price; 10 a.m.to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, half-price; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, bag day.

For easy shopping, there are try-on rooms for clothing that is sized and categorized by department. Parking is free and refreshments are available. Cash, check and credit card purchases are accepted.

All proceeds support Lehigh Valley cancer services through St. Luke’s Cancer Center, St. Luke’s Hospice and the Cancer Support Community. The 39th annual sale, the largest of its kind in the Lehigh Valley, is supported by more than 200 volunteers.
