Streets to Close This Morning for 5K, 10K Races

Morning 5K and 10K races through streets of Bethlehem as part of Runner's World Festival will force street closures.

 

Certain streets in South Bethlehem and the Central Historic District will be closed at various times between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. today to accommodate the Runner’s World Half Marathon & Festival’s 5K and 10K races.

Some of the affected streets in South Bethlehem include sections of First Street, Webster Street, Packer Avenue, Brodhead Avenue, Fourth Street, S. New Street, Columbia Street, Polk Street, Second Street, Founders Way and Daly Avenue.

Church Street, Main Street, Broad Street, Market Street, Maple Street, Center Street and Wall Street will be affected on the North Side.

Additionally, the Philip J. Fahy Bridge will be closed to accommodate the 10K race, which is scheduled to get under way at 9:30 a.m.

Spectators are welcome to cheer the runners on along the routes of both races, which are included in a PDF attached to this story.

Bethlehem Police will be on hand to direct both runners and motorists.
