Liberty Grenadiers Shine in Rose Parade

Video captures high school marching band's southern California performance on New Year's Day.

Someone with a video camera had a good vantage point as the Liberty High School Grenadiers Band marched by during the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif. on Wednesday.

This was the second time that the Grenadiers marched in the nationally televised southern California New Year's spectacular. The first time was in 2009.

An online Rose Parade program includes a profile of the band on page 59, including a picture of the 250-member Grenadiers assembled at Liberty High School’s main entrance and written and audio histories of the band, which include a mention of Grenadier alumnus, actor Jonathan Frakes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" fame.
