Liberty Faithful Warms up for Big Game at Bonfire

Several thousand Hurricane fans show for rally on eve of rivalry game with Freedom Patriots.

Several thousand, young and old, gathered at Liberty High School Friday night for the annual bonfire that culminates Spirit Week at the 89-year-old school.

A tradition prior to the each year's football game with rival Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, the event also included a band, a moonbounce and other amusements, and of course, food.

The pyre was lit by football and cheerleading captains after a brief performance by the Grenadier Marching Band and a ceremony recognizing the football team.
