The Lehigh Mountain Hawks men’s basketball team will make its national television debut of the young season at 9 tonight on ESPNU when it plays the University of Pittsburgh in a regional final of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Five Mountain Hawks scored in double figures. Senior All-American guard C.J. McCollum led the way 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Lehigh is now 1-1 on the season, having lost to the 18th ranked Baylor Bears in Texas Friday night.

Traditional Big East powerhouse Pittsburgh is 2-0, earning its regional semifinal spot with an 86-51 win over Fordham University Monday.

Lehigh has an all-time record of 5-3 against the Panthers, though the two schools have not met on the hardwood since 1920.

The winner of tonight’s game will go on to the National NIT Semi-Finals at Madison Square Garden in New York.
