Freedom Students to Sing in Capitol Rotunda

The Freedom High School Chorale, a group of 14 auditioned singers, will be introduced on Senate floor before performing in Capitol Rotunda on Wednesday.

 

The Freedom High School Chorale has been invited to sing at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg on Wednesday in honor of Music in Our Schools Month.

The FHS Chorale is an auditioned chamber group of 14 voices that has only recently started singing together.

Jennifer Volpato, FHS Choir Director, received a personal invitation from state Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18, for the students to be introduced and recognized on the Senate floor that morning, prior to their performance.

The National Association for Music Education has designated March as Music In Our Schools Month “to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children – and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music.”
