Freedom's 'Millie' Gets 17 Freddy Nominations

Freedom High School's "Thoroughly Modern Millie" leads all schools with 17 Freddy nominations.

 

’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie led all schools with 17 nominations for Freddy Awards, the annual ceremony that celebrates high school musical productions.

Freedom got nominations in most of the categories including Best Overall Production, Best Lead Actor and Actress, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress.

’s production of Little Women also received a lot of attention, with 10 nominations, including Best Overall Production and Best Lead Actor and Actress.

’s Les Miserables received three nominations. and each received two nominations, including a nomination each for Best Overall Production by a Smaller School.

The nominations for the tenth annual Freddy Awards were announced Thursday.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 24 at The State Theatre in Easton and will be broadcast live on WFMZ-TV, Channel 69.
