9/11 commemorative event, at NCC

Northampton Community College will commemorate the 9/11 attacks at 11 a.m., Sept. 8 in the College Center, Room 220, on the college's main campus, 3835 Green Pond Road.

The event will feature a keynote address by Vertel Martin, associate professor of criminal justice and a retired lieutenant in the New York City Police Department. Martin served as commanding officer for the World Trade Center Missing Persons Task Force after the attacks. The event is sponsored by the college’s Band of Brothers Club.
