Slots machine revenue at the Sands Bethlehem Casino dropped slightly in October from the numbers registered for that same month a year ago, according to numbers released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Across the state, numbers also declined very slightly, but the gaming control board noted that the overall picture was likely affected by the rare October snowstorm that caused havoc in eastern Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Saturdays are typically the heaviest revenue producing days of the week for casinos.
Slots revenue at the Sands was nearly $21.5 million for the month, as opposed to less than $21.8 million a year ago, a 1.3 percent decline.
Across the state, casino slots revenues were nearly $197.2 million versus less than $197.5 million a year ago. Tax revenue from slots machine play across the state during the month was more than $107 million.
