School District to Sell Vo-Tech Satellite Campus
Northampton School District will buy back property and building.
The Bethlehem Area School District will be selling the former satellite campus of the Bethlehem Area Vocational and Technical School in Northampton back to the Northampton School District, BASD board members agreed Monday evening.
The parcel in totality has been professionally appraised at about $850,000, with the land valued at about $240,000 and the building at about $610,000.
Due to the fact that the NSD sold the land to the BASD for $1, the district has agreed to sell the whole property back for the value of the building, which the BASD paid for and had built.

“They had given land for $1, therefore we didn't feel they should pay for the land, just the building,” said BASD board member Michael Faccinetto.
The matter is set for an official vote at the next regular school board meeting, on Sept. 26 and is expected to be approved.

“Northampton would like to close on this shortly, hopefully by November,” Faccinetto said.
