City issues violation notice to Occupy Bethlehem

Members of Occupy Bethlehem need a permit or they risk eviction, according to a city notice that calls their camp near "illegal" as reported by the Easton Express-Times.

A violation notice issued by the city on Friday notes that officials have received complaints about theft of electricity, public consumption of alcohol, use of illegal substances and public urination related to the Occupy Bethlehem encampment.

City officials say they have granted extensions to allow extra time for the occupiers to apply for the required permit.
