Obama's Pa. Lead Widens in 2 Independent Polls

Pennsylvania continues to look less like a swing state as the 2012 presidential election draws closer

Two independent polls released this week show President Barack Obama's lead in Pennsylvania widening over Gov. Mitt Romney:

  • 54 percent to 42 percent among likely voters according to Quinnipiac
  • 50 percent to 39 percent among registered voters according to Franklin and Marshall

Romney does slightly better among likely voters in the F&M poll, trailing only by 9 points: 52 percent to 43, according to a PoliticsPa report.
