Family: Married to Julie Sanders 20 years. We have blended a family of five children, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Tell us about your educational background: Graduated from H.B. Plant High School in Tampa, Fla.

Tell us about your professional/business background:

Owner of Lumps Deli, president of S and S Rentals. Bethlehem housing board for eight years. Senior member of Northampton County Appeals Board 6 years.

Why are you running for City Council?

I am running for City Council because I think council needs diversity and to move Bethlehem forward in a positive direction.

What qualifies you to serve on City Council?

I was born and raised in Bethlehem, twenty six years of business experience, Bethlehem Housing is the largest land lord in the city and I over see the budget as a commissioner. One of my best qualities is to listen to the residents and respond with the best interest of the citizens.

What do you see as City Council's primary role and responsibilities?

City councils role is to work with the city and the mayor, working with BASD, and doing so within a good solid budget.

Tell us about three major challenges facing Bethlehem and how you would address them. (Please be as specific as possible):

I see the three major challenges as the budget and paying down the debt to keep future taxes as low as possible. The safety aspects of the city, starting with our 911 center and to see to it that it remains in Bethlehem. Promoting home ownership in Bethlehem and pride in the neighborhood. Maintaining safe parks.

How much are you spending to run? How is your campaign being funded?

I am planning a grass roots campaign. I have kept my spending under 250.00 to date and are not accepting contributions.
