The new facility could bring 40 or more new jobs to the city with employees working in three separate shifts.

The 2.65 acre parcel of land that has been owned by Gardner Cryogenics for many years is part of the company’s land development plan to expand its business.  The new facility would include a 2,100 square foot office and 47 spaces for parking.

Approval was given pending the investigation and potential modification to a soil pipe geological feature on the property, planners said.

A spokesman for the company said the prefabricated, white building would be energy efficient and secured with fencing. Construction is slated for April with a completion date of July.
