Hahn to Host Meetings on Electric Choice

A number of constituents have reached out about their variable-rate plans, Hahn said.

State Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Northampton) has scheduled a series of meetings to talk about constituents' choices when it comes to electricity service.

The meetings were prompted by a number of phone calls and emails, Hahn said.

“My staff and I have heard from a number of people who have questions associated with higher than normal electric bills because of this winter’s extremely cold weather,” Hahn said. “We decided to host these meetings in an effort to educate the public and address those questions and concerns.”

The first meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. March 25, at the Weona Park Community Center, 25 S. Main St., Pen Argyl. The second will be at 6:30 p.m. April 3, Hanover Township Community Center, 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem.

Representatives from the Public Utility Commission, Pennsylvania Office of Consumer Affairs, Met-Ed/FirstEnergy Corporation and PPL will be on hand to answer all questions, Hahn said.
