Fahy Bridge to be Closed Overnight

PennDOT survey work will shut down Philip J. Fahy Bridge from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the next three nights.

The Philip J. Fahy Bridge will be closed for survey work during overnight hours for the next three days beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, according to PennDOT.

Motorists are advised to use caution and allow for extra time if you travel during late night hours.

Detours will direct New Street traffic to the Hill-to-Hill Bridge while the surveying continues. The Minsi Trail Bridge is another alternative route that connects North and South Bethlehem.

Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to cross the bridge if necessary during the hours the bridge is closed.

The Fahy Bridge will be closed between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. tonight, Monday and Tuesday. If inclement weather prevents the work from being finished, the work will continue the following week.
