Macarro Auctions, from Hellertown, will be handling the sale of the hundreds of items, including sporting goods and gear, commercial kitchen equipment, computers, computer accessories and other electronics, along with an assortment of office and classroom furniture like desks, chairs, cabinets and bookcases.

The sale will begin at 10 a.m., and doors open at 8 a.m. for public preview of the sale lots and buyer registration, according to a list of goods to be sold on the auction house website.

High bidders may pay for auction merchandise with cash, certified check, traveler’s check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Personal checks will be accepted with good credit or photo ID or other terms accepted by Macarro Auction Company. Complete terms for the auction are listed here.

The goods, unused and no longer needed, raise cash for the district, and typically, items go for far below market value, providing some very good bargains for buyers, school district administrators have noted.
