Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan is scheduled to give his 10th and final state of the city address at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Musikfest Café at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
“State of the City gives me a chance to explain the state of your city government, how we spend your tax dollars, where we are trying to save your tax dollars and how we are growing our economic tax base,” the mayor said through a news release issued Wednesday. “I look forward to this event more than any other annual event on my calendar.”
Callahan is serving his last year as mayor as his two-term limit maxes out at the end of 2013. He has, however, announced his intention to run for Northampton County Executive.
The event, hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is sold out with 270 people registered to attend.
