Woman Threatened to 'Burn Down Building,' Police Say

City woman charged with making threats against a facility that helps people with mental illness.

 

A Bethlehem woman repeatedly threatened to “burn down the building with everyone in it” where she lives on Main Street early Monday, according to Bethlehem police.

Patricia Moore, 49, of 702 Main St., was charged with terroristic threats and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Police said she made the threats at her home address, which was also identified as a facility for Step-By-Step, a non-profit corporation that provides community support services to children and adults with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and autism.
