Woman Offered Cop Sex for Money, Police Say

24-year-old woman charged with prostitution after she allegedly made proposition in Bethlehem Township hotel room.

A 24-year-old woman offered sex for money to an undercover police officer in a Bethlehem Township hotel room, according to an arrest affidavit.

Raphaella Mompoint was charged with promoting prostitution as a result of the proposition she allegedly made Friday night at the Comfort Inn, 3191 Highfield Drive, just off of Linden Street, according to court papers.

Mompoint has no local address and her last known address is in Florida, but she does have another pending prostitution charge against her in Pennsylvania, according to the arrest papers.

Arresting Officer Edward Fox of the Bethlehem Township Police Department wrote in the affidavit that he believes Mompoint is a “flight risk.”

She was arraigned before on–duty District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail.
